How to Ship Your Goods to Amazon Saudi Arabia or the US

From a Chinese factory to Amazon FBA: preparation, labels, shipment planning and customs clearance.

1. Set up your seller account and listing

Choose Amazon.sa for Saudi Arabia or Amazon.com for the US. Activate your seller account, create the listing and confirm product and category eligibility for FBA before ordering inventory. Check restrictions and required documents in Seller Central.

2. Calculate the landed cost

Include goods, packaging, inspection, freight, customs clearance, Amazon fees, storage, advertising and returns. Use the destination marketplace fee calculator and begin with a test quantity matched to expected demand.

3. Approve samples and preparation

Agree specifications and quantities with the factory and inspect before dispatch. Follow the preparation and barcode instructions displayed for each product in your account; label requirements are not identical for every item.

4. Create a Send to Amazon shipment

Select SKUs and quantities, enter the actual ship-from address and accurate carton dimensions and weights. Use the receiving addresses assigned by the workflow; inventory may be split across centers. Send the shipment-specific box labels to the factory or prep center.

5. Choose the shipping route

Ship from China to Amazon after preparation and customs clearance are arranged, or use a local prep warehouse for checks and repacking before final delivery. Compare air and sea based on size, timing and total cost. Confirm the carrier can meet Amazon delivery requirements.

6. Saudi Arabia and the US need separate preparation

For Saudi Arabia, use an Amazon.sa shipment and confirm product import, conformity and tax requirements with your customs broker. For the US, use an Amazon.com shipment and arrange an importer of record and customs broker before dispatch. Amazon does not act as importer of record for FBA inventory. Agree who handles duties and clearance in writing and do not send charges due to the fulfillment center.

7. Deliver and track receipt

Provide the commercial invoice, packing list, labels and documents requested by the broker. Confirm any required delivery appointment. Add tracking details and monitor receiving in Seller Central; truck delivery does not mean every unit is available for sale.

Before dispatch

Check quantities, barcodes, box labels, assigned addresses, documents and customs responsibilities. Retain preparation photos and the inspection report. Amazon instructions vary by marketplace and product; the workflow in your account at shipment creation is the operational reference.
