Buying from 1688 for Gulf Importers: A Simple Guide

Understand the platform, supplier selection and the operational steps behind a successful order.

What is 1688?

1688 is a China-focused wholesale marketplace. It can offer strong local pricing, but its workflow is designed for domestic buyers.

Alibaba is generally more export-oriented; 1688 often requires more support with language, payments and order coordination.

Select suppliers carefully, verify important details, consolidate when useful and inspect before international shipping.

Confirm packaging, commercial documents and the destination requirements before booking the shipping method.
